Nestled within the picturesque landscape of Boyton, Cornwall, Moorhaven Farm CL beckons weary city souls to unwind in the lap of rural serenity. As a nature enthusiast and avid caravan explorer, our stay at this quaint 18-acre smallholding was nothing short of enchanting.
Moorhaven Farm CL is a sanctuary where retired sheep peacefully graze, and free-range chickens meander freely. The farm exudes tranquillity, away from the hustle of traffic, with vistas of open countryside, woodlands, and sprawling farmland. The pace of life slows here, inviting opportunities to encounter various wildlife—from elusive badgers to graceful deer and a symphony of birds, including majestic birds of prey.
The CL site itself is a canvas of open farmland, offering panoramic views of Dartmoor, Bodmin, and Exmoor in the distance. A slightly sloping grass site, generously spaced, ensures a quiet, relaxing, and peaceful stay. On our arrival, a bout of heavy rain had left us momentarily stuck, but thanks to the gracious assistance of Deniese's neighbour and a trusty tractor, we found ourselves perched on a comforting hardstanding pitch.
Water, sourced from a borehole and treated for optimal quality, caters to caravanners' needs, and a chemical waste disposal point ensures seamless toileting. While electric hookups aren't available, battery charging facilities are provided, and generators are permitted within the confines of club rules. Well-behaved dogs and children are warmly welcomed to share in the magic of Moorhaven.
Convenience meets tranquillity with a local shop and pub a stone's throw away, while the coastal allure of Bude, with its supermarkets, shopping, and vibrant culinary scene, awaits a short drive away. The surrounding North Cornwall Heritage coastline offers a plethora of aquatic delights, from surfing to fishing.
For those inclined to explore on foot, the West Coast Long Distance Path, Dartmoor, and Bodmin Moor are within reach, revealing nature's wonders. Historic market towns—Holsworthy, Tavistock, Launceston, and Bodmin—add cultural depth to your itinerary, while the Atlantic Village beckons with designer treasures.
As the sun sets, painting the sky with breathtaking hues, Moorhaven Farm CL treats visitors to nightly spectacles. On one memorable evening, our senses were heightened by the rhythmic hum of a powered paraglider gracefully sailing above—a delightful surprise, elevating our caravan experience to new heights. Daily, squadrons of sparrows grace the sky, performing an aerial ballet as they gracefully dart in all directions, skillfully nabbing insects in their midair dance.
Moorhaven Farm CL, with its central location and a wide array of nearby attractions, stands as a testament to the allure of Cornwall, beckoning travellers to bask in its natural splendour, rain or shine.
Spacious pitch with a visible slope gradient.

To enter the forest, stroll down a "residential road." Right before reaching the homes, veer onto the road to your right. This is the pathway guiding you into the heart of the forest.
